Puckett family expands by one darling ALLIE ROSE.

I spend a lot of time checking out props and outfits for kids. I am not a very big "PROP" person as far as extensive and busy backgrounds full of toyland wonders. I am truly simple. By props, I usually mean clothing, hair accessories, hats, scarves, and the like. So, when I came across this darling bloomer set (the bloomers and the matching headband) I fell in love. I knew I was going to see Miss Allie Rose on Saturday and I actually bought this bloomer set two days before the shoot and had it shipped overnight! Crazy. However, I am so happy with the way the shoot turned out. Kinda vintage, totally girly, and truly falling into my "no busy prop" theme. Meet Allie Rose. <3

LEMONADE STAND...

We have an old barn on our farm that we are planning on tearing down. I just LOVE old  weathered wood, don't you? I had it in my head that I wanted to do a lemonade stand all summer and just didn't want to buy some cheesy prop to have it with. In comes my super-handy hubby whom I asked if he could build a lemonade stand out of the old barn wood. Viola! In two hours he had it ready to go! I was in love....with the lemonade stand and just slightly more enamored with him for doing such a great job. Some purchased from etsy.com, a yard sale, dollar store, cracker barrel, and the grocery store...I was set!

The end of the 2012 senior season...BRINGS FALL FAMILIES.

Meet darling Julie. She is the last 2012 senior girl on my books for this season. Other than a few more football players left (from winding down a year of practice and finishing the season), next on my books are families.

The fall brings out family photos by the droves! A combination of the beautiful scenery and the pending holiday season gives us reasons to get our loved ones photographed. Some use them for Christmas cards and gifts, and others use this time of year to mark the growth of their family. I LOVE the fall. If you haven't guessed already...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. The smell of the crisp autumn air, the smells of the baked goods, the change for the better in people everywhere. Its just a magical time of year where people are nicer, giving, and more spiritual. Nothing beats snuggling with my family next to a fire and watching movies while snacking and drinking hot chocolate. Oh boy, soooo ready for some family time. How about you??

The military wife...

Nothing moves me more than the image of a military man embracing the love of his life. When I think of images such as this, I go totally vintage. Remembering the WW2 "Victory Kiss" in NYC is where my minds eye focuses on. Such a random event marked by extreme joy that the war was over, and possibly the joy of just being alive! Even in this day and age, there must be that same feeling whenever a member of our military makes it home from fighting in a war. Why not immortalize it when they do?
To this newly wed couple,  I am wishing a life full of love, laughs, and much happiness. Be safe.
